Terms of Service

Last updated: February 12, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Bleep's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing our services.

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bleep provides an on-premise data loss prevention (DLP) proxy designed to monitor and protect sensitive information transmitted to AI services. The Bleep proxy runs locally on your device or network — the content of your AI requests is processed entirely on your machine and is never sent to Bleep's servers. Our service includes:

  • Real-time local scanning of requests to AI services
  • Detection and blocking of sensitive data patterns
  • Data redaction capabilities
  • Audit logging and compliance reporting
  • Policy management and enforcement

Our cloud services (web dashboard, license validation, billing) are separate from the proxy and do not process or have access to the content of your AI requests.

3. User Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. Failure to do so constitutes a breach of the Terms, which may result in immediate termination of your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password that you use to access the Service and for any activities or actions under your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party.

You must notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription and Billing

Some parts of the Service are billed on a subscription basis. You will be billed in advance on a recurring and periodic basis, either monthly or annually, depending on the plan you select.

A valid payment method is required to process the payment for your Subscription. You shall provide accurate and complete billing information. By submitting such payment information, you automatically authorize us to charge all Subscription fees incurred through your account.

Should automatic billing fail, we will issue an electronic invoice requiring manual payment within a specified deadline.

5. Refund Policy

If you cancel your subscription, you will retain access to your current plan for the remainder of the billing period you have already paid for. No prorated refunds are issued for partial billing periods.

If you downgrade your plan, the change takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle. If you upgrade, the new plan takes effect immediately and you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period.

6. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new users. At the end of the trial period, you will be automatically enrolled in a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the free trial at any time without notice.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service:

  • For any unlawful purpose or to solicit others to perform unlawful acts
  • To violate any international, federal, or state regulations, rules, laws, or ordinances
  • To infringe upon or violate our intellectual property rights or the rights of others
  • To harass, abuse, insult, harm, defame, or discriminate
  • To submit false or misleading information
  • To upload or transmit viruses or any other malicious code
  • To interfere with or circumvent the security features of the Service

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Bleep and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Bleep.

9. Data Processing

The Bleep proxy runs locally on your device or network. All content scanning, pattern detection, and data inspection is performed on your machine. No request content is transmitted to or processed by Bleep's servers.

Our cloud services process only account data, license validation requests, billing information, and aggregated usage metrics (detection counts by type). For details on what data our cloud services handle, see our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable data protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to GDPR and CCPA.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Bleep, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

Our total liability for any claims under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months prior to the claim.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Bleep does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. You acknowledge that no data loss prevention system can guarantee detection of all sensitive data patterns, and you use the Service at your own risk.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bleep and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in any way connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property or privacy rights.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach the Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may delete your account at any time from Dashboard → Settings → Delete Account. Account deletion is immediate and permanent — all associated data, licenses, subscriptions, and enrolled devices will be removed.

Active Stripe subscriptions are automatically cancelled upon account deletion. No further charges will be incurred after deletion.

13a. License Enforcement

Bleep enforces license validity across all components of the service. The admin server validates its license with our cloud service hourly. If a license expires, is revoked, or the account is deleted:

  • The admin server proxy is stopped and all connected endpoint devices receive a stop command
  • New device enrollments and seat creation are blocked
  • Endpoint apps stop their proxy and restore original system settings

If the admin server cannot reach our license server, a 72-hour offline grace period allows continued operation. After 72 hours without successful license verification, the proxy is automatically stopped on all devices. This grace period survives application restarts.

Device seats that are revoked will have their proxy stopped immediately, and system proxy settings will be restored to their original state.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.

15. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

16. Force Majeure

Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from events beyond the reasonable control of that party, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, government actions, power failures, internet or telecommunications failures, or cyberattacks.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving its original intent.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Bleep regarding the use of the Service. These Terms supersede any prior agreements, communications, or understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the subject matter herein.
